Locations: The courses are often held at Willoughby on Sydney’s beautiful north shore at Len Metcalf’s photographic studio. Workshops and tours run at other locations will be clearly specified.

Workshop Inclusions: Tuition, class notes & workbooks, snacks and beverages (morning and afternoon tea).

Exclusions: Accommodation, camera hire, consumables (film, chemicals, paper), transport, transfers and meals unless specified

Transport: Each workshop, course and tour has a different location and transport requirements.

What to Bring: We will send you a specific list of things you should bring to the course. These usually include your camera, enough film or digital storage for the weekend, tripod, cable release or remote release, lenses, light meter (if your camera doesn’t have one) camera bag, note book and pen, a portfolio, warm clothes, rain gear & umbrella, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, waterbottle, insect repellent.

Hire Cameras: If is possible to arrange for the hire of a specialist camera for the course, these include Digital SLR’s, Panoramic Cameras and Large Format Field Cameras.

Booking Fee and Deposit: You will need to pay a deposit of $200.00 to confirm your booking. The remainder is due prior to the commencement of the course. You can pay by direct transfer into Len’s account, Paypal, cheque or cash. Tours require a 50 % payment of total tour fees one month prior to departure and final payment 7 days prior to departure.

Cancellations and Refunds: Len reserves to right to keep at least %100 of the total course fees paid for cancellations with at least 5 days notice. Cancellations with less than 5 days notice may have to pay the full fee. Len will consider each cancellation on a case by case basis, determined by actual costs incurred. Cancellations of tours where accommodation has been paid for will incur all direct costs associated with the booking. Most accommodation venues require full payment one month in advance.

e-support: Each student will be granted access to the Lens School e-learning website for ongoing support, social networking with other students, photographic critiques, equipment & resource reviews and information downloads for a limited period after the course.

Payment: Len accepts cheque, cash or Paypal (credit cards)payments prior to the course. Payments made on the day can only be made by Paypal, cash or cheque (payable to Lens School).

Acknowledgement of Risk, Waiver of Liability & Medical Details: You will need to complete these forms prior to arriving to the workshop / tour. You will not be able to participate or attend any course unless these doucments are completed.

Insurance: Len’s School is fully insured, and advises its clients to have personal medical insurance and ambulance cover. For overseas tours you will need to have travel insurance.
